aesthetic nails

Hello! Today I'm going to be sharing this super simple nail art inspired by "aesthetic type tumblrs". I see a lot of posts that have these black and white grids and decided to take it to put on my nails.

Unfortunately, it had slipped my mind to take pictures of the process, but I think you can figure it out. Two nails white, two nails black. On the thumb (or whatever accent finger you want), paint it white and then make thin straight lines in black evenly spaced to get a grid effect. I used an old small paintbrush but you could try a striper, toothpick, or anything else. You could also probably use strips of tape to cover up the white to get a more precise line, but I'm way too impatient to use tape in nail art (it' always ended badly).

my favorite nail polishes

I love nail polish. I literally always have my nails painted. So naturally, I've used a lot of different polishes throughout the years. These are my five favorite polishes that I have used so much.

Midnight Cami: This polish is a super dark navy blue that appears almost black. My favorite part about it is that while it appears super dark, in the sunlight it is a deep, sparkly, navy blue. I'm currently on my second bottle after using it for the majority of this past summer.

Sew Psyched: This one is a muted green-grey color that I absolutely love for fall. It's not super dull like a grey nor is it super bright like a green.

?: I've had this polish for the longest time and the label has come off so I have no idea what color this is. It's a clear polish with very fine off-white glitter in it. (I'm sure this kind of color is fairly common so you will probably have no trouble finding a dupe.) I'm not a huge fan of glitter but when I tried this polish last winter, I fell in love. It takes a few coats if you want to wear it alone, but I like to put it on top of a white or dark blue or any other color to give it some added sparkle. I like to wear this one in winter because it reminds me of sparkling snow.

Mint Mojito: This one is a bright turquoise that I love for summer. It's so bright and fun and the polish is very durable.

Constant Candy: Light pink is one of my favorite colors so naturally, I have a light pink polish in my favorites. It's somewhat sheer so I like to either layer it or put it over a white.
