diy crescent moon necklace

Hello! Today I'm going to show you how to make a super cute gold moon necklace. I've been seeing a lot of necklaces like this online so I thought, why not make my own?

Here's what you need:

 Time to start!

Now just put it on a chain and wear it!

Feel free to change up this design in any way or just use this method to make something completely different like I did here:

I hope this inspired you or helped you in some way! If you make this, be sure to leave a comment so I can see!

masking tape mountains

In my mixed media class, we had a project to create a relief sculpture using masking tape, cardboard, and acrylic paints. I've never done anything like this before and I've only used acrylics a handful of times before so I'm pretty content with how it turned out. I chose mountains because they are a special place for my family and I (and they just look nice and are relatively easy to paint).
Here is the full image.
The rest of the images are just to show some more detail as this is roughly 21 1/2in by 12.5in.

A close up of the sky. The only thing I don't like much is that you can see the tape if you look closely enough, but I'm not sure how I could have prevented that.

As you can see, the mountains, birds, clouds, and the sun are all raised.

So what do you think? And do you take any art classes in school?

how to not stress out (too much)

School (and life in general) is super stressful. I get stressed out super easily especially when it comes to school and tests. Somehow I manage to come out alive every time so I thought I would share a few of my school stress tips for anyone out there.

1. plan ahead
-Easier said than done, but try your best not to procrastinate. This means no more putting things off or waiting until the night before to start studying.

2. organize & lists
-Lists are your friends. Whether it's in an app or written on paper, they can help you visual everything that you need to get done and order them so you know exactly what you have to do. Prioritizing does wonders.

3. remember that stress is good
-In moderation, stress is beneficial. Although it seems terrible, it helps to push you enough to do your best. So as long as you aren't stressing out too badly, stress is normal.

4. cram.
-This tip is specifically for tests. No, cramming doesn't replace studying, but it does help to get the information into your head right before a test.

5. remember to relax
-Even if something is super important, you need to save some time for yourself and you need to get enough sleep. Also, remember that this probably won't really matter too much in a few years.

6. don't stress when it's over
-After you finish whatever was stressing you, take a breather. There's no sense in worrying over something that you can't change anymore. Take this time to relax or prep to tackle your next task.

I hope you got something out of this post and that it helps you in some way. If you have any of your own tips, feel free to leave them in to comments!
