In my mixed media class, we had a project to create a relief sculpture using masking tape, cardboard, and acrylic paints. I've never done anything like this before and I've only used acrylics a handful of times before so I'm pretty content with how it turned out. I chose mountains because they are a special place for my family and I (and they just look nice and are relatively easy to paint).
Here is the full image.
The rest of the images are just to show some more detail as this is roughly 21 1/2in by 12.5in.
A close up of the sky. The only thing I don't like much is that you can see the tape if you look closely enough, but I'm not sure how I could have prevented that.
As you can see, the mountains, birds, clouds, and the sun are all raised.
So what do you think? And do you take any art classes in school?
